About Chuck Aikens

I'm Chuck Aikens, and I'm building something different, starting with a one-person, AI-powered marketing ecosystem that delivers enterprise-grade results without the enterprise overhead.
After 20+ years running traditional agencies, I saw the writing on the wall: AI wouldn't just change how we work, it would fundamentally reshape what's possible. So I rebuilt everything from scratch.

The Name Tymoo

I am sometimes asked where the name “Tymoo” came from and the short answer is my kids. The slightly longer answer is that my son’s name is Tyler with “Ty being short for Tyler” and my daughter Morgan had a toddler nickname of “Morgan Moo” → hence Ty + Moo or Tymoo. I originally registered tymoo.com which I still use along with tymoo.ai (this domain).

Building the AI-Native Marketing Ecosystem

My Background

I taught myself web programming in Barnes & Noble back when "the web as we know it" didn't exist. Built Mortgage101.com, which held the #1 ranking for "mortgage" for over a decade. When Google exploded and SEO became an industry, I founded Volume Nine and grew it onto multiple fastest-growing company lists for 10+ years.
Traditional model: lots of people, lots of overhead, lots of limitations.
The Shift
After over 15+ years at Volume Nine's helm, I made a bet: AI could handle 80% of what took teams of people to deliver, if you knew how to build the systems right.
I rebuilt everything from scratch. Not to work less, but to work smarter and build something that scales without sacrificing quality.

The Brand Intelligence Ecosystem

I run the Brand Intelligence Ecosystem — an AI-powered platform built for consumer brand and marketing teams. It's part consulting, part technology, part automation framework.

AI-Powered Intelligence Tools

This isn't just dashboards and fancy buttons to push.
It's a full tech stack of AI-powered tools working together: Airtable for data architecture, Notion for knowledge management, Claude for strategic intelligence, Stacker HQ for custom interfaces, n8n for workflow automation, plus a constantly evolving arsenal of specialized tools. The system delivers weekly insights on category trends, sentiment analysis, competitive intelligence, and creative performance. Everything is connected, everything talks to everything else, and the intelligence compounds over time.

CMO Charlie: Your Digital Strategist

CMO Charlie is my AI-powered digital doppelganger, available at CMOCharlie.ai. Charlie is trained on my 20+ years of marketing experience, frameworks, and decision-making patterns. It's not just another chatbot; it provides an always-available marketing strategist, helping brands work through creative challenges, develop campaign strategies, and make smarter decisions without waiting for a meeting.
Think of it as having me available 24/7, minus the calendar constraints.

Automated Playbooks & Systems

These aren't generic templates generated by ChatGPG; they're battle-tested frameworks built from over 20 years of hands-on marketing experience, now codified into repeatable, scalable AI-powered systems. Every playbook represents real campaigns, real wins, real lessons learned. The automation handles execution while preserving the strategic thinking that made them work in the first place. You get the benefit of two decades of trial and error without having to live through it yourself.

Content at the Center

This is the foundational principle: brands connect with their target audience through content, whether that's words, pictures, or videos. Every touchpoint where a potential customer discovers, evaluates, or engages with your brand happens through content. A well-executed content strategy operates across all channels, whether optimized for traditional search engines (SEO), generative AI platforms like ChatGPT and Perplexity (GEO), AI overviews in Google (AEO), and social platforms where your audience lives. Generative AI has fundamentally changed the game here: it's now possible to scale high-quality, persona-targeted content that actually connects with humans, not just algorithms. The brands that win are the ones that understand content isn't a marketing tactic; instead, it's how modern consumers find and choose you.

Zero Employees (And Why That Matters)

This is what makes everything else possible. Zero employees isn't a cost-cutting technique; it's a strategy for an AI-native architecture that future-proofs your marketing, not for automating today's outdated processes.
Without the overhead of managing teams, I can keep the value working directly for your brand. More importantly, I'm building for where marketing is going, not where it's been. Traditional agencies are trying to make AI fit their existing people-dependent workflows.
I built this from scratch, with AI as the foundation, so you get tomorrow's marketing capabilities today at a fraction of what legacy models cost.

The AI-Native Approach

I don't just use AI tools — I build them. I'm deep into Claude, Gemini, Open AI, and even Llama + Grok, building custom agents and automations that handle everything from competitive analysis to content optimization to campaign planning.
I'm learning to code (using Claude Code to connect web applications and build AI functional sites) because I want to understand the systems at their foundation level. The goal isn't to become a developer — it's to be just dangerous enough to build what I need without waiting for someone else.
The Philosophy
Most marketing platforms are still bolting AI onto their existing processes. I started with AI as the foundation and built everything else around it.
This means:
  • Automation handles the repetitive intelligence work
  • AI manages the analysis and initial strategy development
  • I focus on high-leverage decision-making and strategic guidance
  • Clients get enterprise-grade insights at a fraction of traditional costs
I call it being "tool-obsessed" with the curiousity to be constantly testing, building, and implementing whatever gets the job done better, faster, or more effectively.

The Origin Story (The Short Version)

Born in Flint, Michigan. Raised in the coal mining mountains of Southeast Kentucky. Moved to central Florida for high school. Started at an engineering school in Chicago before transferring to University of Florida. Ended up in Colorado at 19.
Been in Denver since the 90s. Raised two incredible kids — Tyler (CU-Boulder grad, now working on the mountain in Aspen) and MJ (currently in college here in Denver).
The web didn't exist when I was in college, so I taught myself programming in bookstore aisles. Built websites, ranked #1 for competitive terms, founded and grew Volume Nine, then rebuilt everything around AI.

What Drives This

The Constant
Through all the pivots and transformations, one thing hasn't changed: I'm obsessed with helping brands and teams achieve their growth goals.
But now I've found a way to do it that's actually sustainable — where I'm not the bottleneck, where quality doesn't require massive teams, and where innovation happens through systems, not just individual hustle.
The Vision
I believe we're in the earliest days of an AI transformation in marketing. Not the hype version where AI "does everything" — the practical version where smart operators use AI to multiply their capabilities 10x.
I'm building the blueprint for that. One AI system, one automation, one client success story at a time.

Beyond Work

When I'm not building AI systems or working with brands, I'm outdoors, working out, betting on sports, reading everything, sitting by the pool, traveling, or hanging with my kids.
Colorado living at its finest.

Let's Connect

If you're a marketing leader at a consumer brand looking for AI-powered intelligence and strategic guidance — or if you're building your own AI-native operation and want to talk systems, automation, and what's actually working — let's connect.
Because the future of marketing isn't about building bigger teams. It's about building smarter systems.
